  • Hi,

Please always attach a link to your website so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost), then our help will be limited. You will have to contact us when the page is online. Also, please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us with the link.

It is always a good idea to also attach a screenshot showing what you refer to.

    Thanks

  • Hi Phil,

    pelase see here: https://londoncib.com/

  • You need to edit these sections with responsive editing. Please, check the following video tutorial:

  • Hi Phil,

I do understand it has to do with the responsive editing.

As per my original message, I used your preset website template - https://themes.muffingroup.com/be/business5/

By default, it changes the video to a static background image on the landing page in the responsive mode. However, the still image is not displayed on any of the devices. I have reverted to the default https://themes.muffingroup.com/be/business5/ background image in the responsive mode. Still the same - no image is displayed.

    1) Could you check the landing page https://londoncib.com/ on the handheld device and suggest what could cause the problem?

    2) Please advise where do I set the section background image. The background section in the advanced setting for that section is blank.

    Thank you!

  • Please send us the WordPress dashboard and FTP access privately thru the contact form, which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact, and we will check what might be the reason.

  • Hi Phil,

    It is done now.

In addition to the responsive background questions discussed in OP ticket, could you -- > suggest how to add static images while video files are loading in the desktop version of pages?

    Many thanks!

  • On the home page, there are two sections. One is visible on a desktop with video, and one is visible on a tablet and mobile with a static image.

Although this section is hidden on the desktop, the background was set on the desktop, so tablets and mobile inherited it, and displayed it. I have already changed it for you to a static image.

  • HI Phil

Thanks for looking into this for me,

Unfortunately, it has not solved the problem.

This is how the home page is shown on Ipad and iPhone at the moment. There is a blue background for some reason.

Any ideas about what's going on here?

  • Please, clear your browser cache on your iPad and iPhone and recheck that.

There was an image of a building on my iPhone until I cleared the cache.

  • Morning Phil,

Thank you for checking this out for me. A few comments.

    1) It appears the image is shown in portrait mode, if the device is turned landscape, there is the same blue background. Is it possible to have it shown in landscape mode?

    2) Is it possible to have an image shown instead of the video while the video is loading? At the moment, there is a few secs delays for video files to load with the greyish background during this pause.

    Thank you

  • 1) What device do you use for testing? I have checked that with iPhone 12, and I cannot see that.

    2) Currently, there is no option to achieve that currently.

However, I have passed this info to the dev team, and we will consider adding a such option in future updates.

  • Hi Phil,

    1) It works on iPhone, not on iPad in landscape mode for some reason. I have tested it on Google Chome and Safari browsers

    2) Any tips on reducing the loading time for video files to minimise the gap without images?

Perhaps it could be possible to change the colour of the background while the video loads?

    3) Any chances to use online stored video as a background instead of the server-hosted video file to minimise the traffic without using the slider?

  • 1) Can you tell me which model of iPad you are using, please?

    2) Setting the background color in the section settings should do the job.

Please, also check the following link:

    https://support.muffingroup.com/how-to/how-to-speed-up-my-site/

Following the tips mentioned in this guide should make your website faster and your video as well.

    3) Only self-hosted videos can be selected as a video background. Moreover, this is the fastest method because they are loaded directly from your server, and your website does not have to connect an external server to load the video.

    Thanks
