Do you mean the main portfolio page or portfolio project pages?
Can you attach a screenshot, and link to your website?

The feature image is placed as section background, and when you open this page with BeBuilder, you can set it up there.
The rest of the content can also be edited in the builder.
Only Portfolio single projects below are builders sections that can be set up in Betheme -> theme options -> Blog & Portfolio -> Portfolio.
I am getting in the portofolio page
but when I select an item and press edit with be builder it drives me to a page that i can not do anything

The text that shows on hover of your portfolio projects is an excerpt.
Edit your project pages, and change the text in the WP editor or in the excerpt because it is taken from one of these two places.
Pictures can be set in the Featured Image tab.
