After latest update site loading significantly lower


I cloned my real live site ( with updraftclone ( to check Theme, Wordpress and plugins updates and errors. Fortunately everything seemed to work, but noticed significant slow site. At first, I thought it was the clone server, and I made the same updates on the live site. I cleaned the cache and noticed it is indeed extremely slow, so It must be related to the new update somehow. I tried to turn off plugins one by one, but so far did not fix that and turned back to the old theme, which is fast.

What to do or were to look for? If you need access let me know - clone or live.

    Thank you for fast reply. I didn't do anything yet. Checked and compared it by myself. The results are still the same.. 10x slower with the new update. Even if the server is far away, it is still too slow. Same thing happens when I do update the theme on the live site.

  • It does not matter which device and network I am testing, I cannot achieve such bad results.

    Can you send a screenshot showing which part of your website takes the longest to load, please?

  • I don't know if it is the right thing you meant. Something is messed up. I've tried different networks as well, same results so far.

    Please check if the same thing happens with another browser with incognito mode, device, and network.

    I rechecked your website, and the loading time was no longer than 4 seconds.

    I've rechecked and the problem is still there. Im thinking maybe it is related to host which is somehow not compatible with updated theme. Weird is that current (old 26.7.2) is working and loading fast, but the moment I change it to the updated theme, it loads ultra slow.

    I have another domain on local host, which is loading fast with this new update.

    However, I noticed one error after the update. Suddenly Minus (-) icon is gone on the product pages (quantity).


  • Please, turn off all of the plugins, refresh your cache, and check if the problem persists.

    Moreover, if you use a child theme, switch to parent, and recheck it.
