Closing the frontend editor brings me to the backend

Hi,

just recently a behavior changed. When I edit with the frontend editor, save the changes and click the WP icon in the lower left hand corner, I end up in the WP backend and not in the frontend on the just edited page.

Is there a possibility to change that?

No, there is no option to change that. This option was not working correctly before, and we modified it.
