Is it possible to show recent portfolio items in a widget, with the same styling as the muffin recent posts widget included with the theme? The Muffin Recent Posts widget only allows selecting content from your posts, not your portfolio items.
What you can try to do is text/raw shortcode inside "Text" widget but we are not sure if this will work properly because basically wordpress do not allow to use items from content inside widgets section.
