Image crops / aspect ratios different after theme update

here's an example URL from the staging site, using the updated theme:

look at the related posts images.

in comparison, here is the live site (with the old theme) with the correctly cropped images:

the client specifically created these image crops to fit (so that all text could be read) & want to retain that on the new site please.

note: i have run regenerate thumbnails on the staging site.

Hi,

You have Srcset option enabled in Betheme -> Theme options -> Blog & Portfolio -> Featured image, you must disable it.
