How to show active state of menu item when child page is active?

Hey there,

I want to have an active state of the menu item which is a parent of the current page while on the current child page:

I am currently using a theme for the top bar and not the general theme options. Adding custom css by catching .current-page-ancestor works for pages but can't find such selector for portfolio items.
