Adding external link to blog posts

Hello

I'm trying to link a blog post to an external link, I've set the post type as "link" and added my link to the external link field, but it didn't work, Could you please orient me on how to fix that?

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. Even though it was too late, I wanted to create a new experience for the blog posts. The purpose is that by clicking on the post's link, an external blog post should be displayed, not the internal post. I managed to do that by using dynamic data and ACF plugin, and betheme has helped me achieve the experience I wanted
