VisualComposer not updating via BeTheme Plugin Updates area
Currently my site has Visual Composer version 4.9.2
When I go to the BeTheme "Plugins" area ( ....../wp-admin/admin.php?page=be-plugins ) and click "Update" button next to WPBakery Page Builder, it loads for a moment and then the button changes to a light blue "Active" button. But the update doesn't actually happen - if I go to the WP Plugins page, or refresh the BeTheme Plugins page, it still shows 4.9.2
I just manually updated the BeTheme to the latest version (27.2.12) today. Other plugins such as Revolution Slider have updated OK.
When I go from the normal WordPress Plugins page (.....wp-admin/plugins.php), it shows:
WPBakery Visual Composer
Settings | Deactivate | Update Required
If I click 'Updated required' it takes me to this page - .....wp-admin/admin.php?page=be-tgmpa&plugin_status=update - then I click Update next to that plugin and then it says "To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your Visual Composer."
Any tips for how to manually update the Visual Composer plugin or otherwise allow the plugin to update?
thanks!

Hi,
Did you try reinstalling this plugin? You do not have to worry about losing any data because it is stored in the database (you can always create a website backup for safety).
After that, you should have the newest version of the plugin installed.
