Hi,
we provide updates every week or two with more and more features so I have no idea what do you mean by "less and less important functions". Not sure if you saw but we have feature voting page https://muffingroup.com/betheme/feature-voting/ where you like any other can vote. We provide updates with features that most of users asks for. Maybe you are actually looking for something that you need but it doesn't mean that thousands of other users need it as well. We always listen to the majority and work on new features in that order.
Regarding your question, cart and checkout builder is something we are working on right now what you can see on the feature voting list.
