Can I use a anchor link to a section within my page which is also a global section?
And will only visit the anchor within the current page and not on other pages showing the same global section?

yes, you can set ID for global section and later link to that section on page.
I still cannot get this to work. Please advise.
Where I would normally set the start point I have typed #new
Where I would normally set the landing anchor I have typed new
