header and footer templates not working properly

hi, we use it on a few sites. the one site i am having a problem, has loco translates additionally.

so, we created custom header and custom footer.

in template creator, we`ve set it to show across the site, but it does not work. it pulls out some other basic header and footer on all pages, and does not trigger at all our custom one.

if we set it in page or post directly as override function, it does show fine.

i tried to test custom design page for blog post, as this one does not seem to have full settings in theme directly, anyway, so i set how the post should look like, and header and footer, using our custom made ones.

then i overriden settings on one posts for tests, and it correctly pulled what i created, but unfortunately, header and footer was still default.

i really cannot wrap my head around it. last time i read, you were working on it, so i gave a pass for a while, but now comes a time i need to fix it somehow.

is there any function i can use to override those headers and footers directly from the theme files (functions.php)it would suit me better tbh, as we use translated versions and there is no setting in designs to filter those out yet.

cheers

  • Hello,

Please turn off all of the plugins, refresh your cache, and check if the problem persists.

Moreover, if you use a child theme, switch to parent, and recheck it.

    Thanks

  • ok, ive run thru full debugging, and found out what follows

this plugin once disabled, if ill re-update our templates from betheme, it will show back what should be there, re-enabling it, keeps the settings (at least for what is currently, will keep on checking if it will apply for any future posts/pages).

child theme was not an issue, and manual re-update of each template used sitewide was required for it to work after all plugins been disabled.

    that saying,

i could still use a hook up for the function that overrides the settings per post/page etc as it works brilliant where such settings is possible. i need to craft it manually as per our requirements, so i wont need to set it manually each time a new post is being published.

could you point me which function is used for that ? and if not yet already, allow for override settings manually via functions.php etc. this would solve our issues with making it compatible with multiple languages.
