Stop creating new image dimensions

Hi

I'm running a plugin to check unused images on my wordpress and I'm finding out that somehow is been created lots of images variations for each image (400x400, 1000x1000, etc) and so far i see something like 40.000 unnecessary images.

How can I choose which dimensions should be automatically created?

Maybe it's your recommended regenerate thumbnails plugin?

  • Hi,

Image sizes from theme options are defined in places such as Blog & Portfolio -> Featured Image, Shop -> Products list, Shop -> Single product.

Single products uses images no wider than 800px (except Modern style which has 1200px).

And here are image sizes for post types:

Also, WP has its own Image sizes in Settings -> Media.

So please check these places, and if you make any modifications there, use thumbnail regeneration.

    Best regards
