Odd menu / blog issue - possible a query loop problem?

I have two meganav's on my site which is in early development

I have a meganav under the "For Sellers" and "For Vendors" links. Each meganav has 2 portfolio items at the bottom, created by a query loop that contains a Banner Box.

Problem 1

The content in the banner box should be vertically centered, which it is in the editor and is when you view the template directly (https://staging.ventureforge.co.uk/template-item/seller-mega-menu/) but isn't when you hover over it on the homepage.

Problem 2

I've created a blog/posts page and cannot get this to work at all. However, I have noticed that when I view this page, all of my blog posts are being loaded in the query loop in the meganavs!!

I'm totally baffled by this, and can only think there's something odd with how I've built the query loops for the meganav, or some kind of bug?

HELP!!!
