Is it correct that the Footer -> Stick to bottom if content is too short setting doesn't work on a Portfolio archive template page? On all other pages it seems to works fine i.e. the footer sticks to the bottom, except on the portfolio page.

My bad, somehow it does work, seems that when you resize the browser window (in height), the footer needs a split second to re-position to the bottom.
Re-postioning apparently doesn't work all the time i.e. with every window height (immediately). Not a big issue.
I am happy to see that you found the culprit.
It might be the reason, as some portfolio styles calculate positions with JS, and so does the Footer.
If the portfolio height changes, the Footer must be recalculated.
