i want to change of the look and feel of the menu at sidebar as it cant be done as its the widget

You can use the following CSS code:

.widget_nav_menu .menu .menu-item{
 padding: 10px 0;
}

Put it in Betheme -> Theme options -> Custom CSS & JS -> CSS.
