Adding Images in the Tabs Element

Hi there,

I'd love to add images to the tabs element (like this example) with the ability to resize or add padding where necessary, but I can't seem to find a way to do this in the tab settings sidebar. I was only able to implement a test image using HTML.

Is there a better way to do this?
