No more margin and padding in BeBuilder

Hey guys,

I have huge problems with your builder on 2 of our websites. The websites are online and look great live, but when I open the builder, every margin and padding is gone. When I make changes to the site, it deletes all padding and margin. Why that?

Thank you in advance and best regards

Benny

  • Hey,

Please send us the WordPress dashboard access privately through the contact form, which is on the right side at https://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact and we will check what might be the reason.

  • Thank you. I just sent you the credentials. We are talking about 2 websites with the same problem here, as described in my message I sent through your contact form.

  • I did not want to interfere with your existing pages, so I created a copy of one of them on a base-gmbh.

I created a page named the "BeSupport test page". Modifications work properly on it, and margins and paddings remain untouched. Are there any particular steps I should proceed with, or does it happen on a particular page?

    Best regards

  • This happens to every page.

    For example:

    https://base-gmbh.com

The way it looks when its live:

the way when I open the same page in BeBuilder:

    ------------------------------

    Live Version from https://base-gmbh.com/linearmelder-system-lms/

    When opening in BeBuilder:

    -------------------------------

    Live Version from https://base-gmbh.com/unsere-dienstleistungen/

    When opening in BeBuilder:

    And so on.

The problem is as soon as I hit save on the BeBuilder, the page will look like in the Builder.

Thank you in advance for helping

  • The failure also occurs more heavy on your Test-Page:

    My live version:

The way it looks in you copy in BeBuilder:

  • Here is the margin, and it did not disappear:

This section simply does not have much padding/margins, and that is why it is close to other sections:

It was like that from the beginning.

  • And how about the main page here?

This is the live version with 60px padding top:

Here is the BeBuilder where the padding is gone:

Same here on the same page. Live Version:

When opening in BeBuilder, padding is gone:

  • I found the problem. Your mfn migrate Plugin is causing it. At our second website where we noticed the same issues, I rolled back to a backup where I didn't use your mfn migrate plugin. After using it and replacing the development-url with the real url, the BeBuilder removes the padding and margin. How do we solve this?

    Thanks and regards

  • Thanks for the clarification. We need to investigate it further, and we need access to FTP.

Please send it as you did with WP dashboard access, and remember to attach a link to this forum discussion.

    Best regards

  • Thank you. Mail has been sent.

  • Do you remember performing any particular actions before this issue happened?

We can see it but cannot replicate it, and without it, we are not able to find the root cause of this issue.

    Best regards

  • I used "Better Search Replace" at first and checked if anything works well after this. It all worked well and than I used the mfn migrate tool and did the same with that tool. I entered the old URL which is https://b3zlau.myrdbx.io and replaced it with https://base-gmbh.com and than the failure occured.

  • Do you have backups of these websites?

I consulted it with the dev team and restoring backup from before it happened is required. Another option is to restore revisions in BeBuilder. See this video tutorial:

    https://support.muffingroup.com/video-tutorials/how-to-manage-revisions-in-muffin-live-builder/

    Best regards

  • Is it okay for you when I restore the backup before it happened or do you need to do so? Because I am able to do so any time.
