How do you adjust or customize the individual elements of "Default Templates"?

For example, the Single Blog Post Template...

Let's say I want to adjust the padding on the content area... or customize the look and feel of the Authors Block or the Comment Area... or get rid of the Social Share element that is currently sitting to the left of the featured image (in my install)... such that every new post I author and publish inherits all these stylistic changes?

Also on the topic of blog POSTS... I'm able to open already written/published posts in BeBuilder. But it only allows me to add elements at the top. In other words, the BeBuilder doesn't recognize the paragraphs of the post as existing sections, wraps or elements... for example; I have a post that's (4) paragraphs, in-between the 2nd and 3rd paragraph I'd like to insert a YouTube Embed. BeBuilder won't let me do it. Is there something I'm missing? This feels like a typical thing one would want to do.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thx.
