How can I translate the hotspot texts using WPML?

i thought, i could translate the hotspot texts with wpml/stringtranslation, but unfortunately not! Although I have re-searched the theme (including child theme) for strings. Maybe someone can help me here. Thanks in advance

  • Hi,

We just checked that, and indeed, translations do not work for hotspots.

I think that it will be corrected in the upcoming update. Before that, you can translate it manually by editing the translated page:

  • hello phil,

    thanks for the quick response.

I thought so too, but the content of the hotspots is not included on the foreign language pages.

    greetings

  • Please send us the WordPress dashboard and FTP access privately through the contact form, which is on the right side at https://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact and we will check what might be the reason.

  • Sorry, but the WP login does not work:

Are you sure that the address you sent is correct and that you did not change the dashboard login URL?

  • sorry phil,

I forgot to tell you that the login is available under a different address.

I will send you the link via the contact form.

  • By the way, I noticed that the username doesn't work (for whatever reason). You should use the email address that I send you via the contact form.

  • You have all languages hidden except German which is default language:

I have unchecked that for an English test. The edition of the translated English page works as it should:

Please edit it this way before we release an update with a fix.

  • hallo phil,

Interesting, I never made this setting and then just didn't see it!

From the beginning I didn't know how to edit the foreign language pages using the bebuilder because I had never activated the frontend toolbar.

Forgive the inconvenience! Before Christmas my brain is slowly melting 😅

I have one last question. Why doesn't WPML use the self-designed header and footer (designed and deposited in templates)?

    greetings

    jan

  • No worries, it happens to everyone. I am happy I could help.

About the headers and footer. Did you create translations for these templates to other languages? If you did, then you might save them again after disabling the "hide languages" option to assign these templates to the correct languages (open the template with BeBuilder and save them).

    Best regards
