"Your cart is currently empty" does not appear.

Dear Betheme Team,

unfortunately only a blank page appears when the shopping basket is empty. Plugins are all switched off. Here is the link to the page: http://www.5939601293981.hostingkunde.de/?woo-share=LOUKDRblPkrTX52IWXFUqR7i6WwE8gkD

I hope you can help me.

Thank you very much in advance. And best regards

Tim

  • Hi,

it looks like you don't have shortcode for woocommerce cart set for cart page. Further details you will find in Woo's documentation https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/page-shortcodes/

  • But then no products would be shown in general, would they? In other words, the page would also be empty if there were products in the shopping basket. Am I making a mistake?

I have attached a screenshot for you. Perhaps it will help you to make a judgement.

  • But you're talking about 2 different things. SHOP page is page with list of products while CART displays products added in the cart. Not sure what you're trying to do but you definitely should split these 2 different pages.

  • Hi Albert,

this is the Woocommerce preset template when there is nothing in the shopping basket. Unfortunately it is not displayed on the actual page.

I honestly don't know what I can do to get it to display.

    Best regards

    Tim

  • We just checked it and all works fine on our end. If you've followed my steps and it doesn't work on your end, it means you probably did something wrong. In such case, please send us the WordPress dashboard and FTP access privately thru the contact form, which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact, and we will check what might be the reason.

    Notice!

Please attach a link to this forum discussion.

Sending incorrect or incomplete data will result in a longer response time.

Therefore, please ensure that the data you send are complete and correct.

However, please note that first thing we will do will be disabling ANY 3rd party plugins and switching to parent theme if you use child.

  • I'm coming back with further details regarding the problem you've faced with as all is clear now.

So, you had own cart template built with the Bebuilder, but at the same time you used blocks for cart page. However, if you want to use custom built template for Cart page, then for the cart page itself you need to use [woocommerce_cart] shortcode and not blocks.

For now, I've disabled cart template by removing condition.

So blocks displays. But like said, if you want to use custom built cart template, please disable blocks for cart page and use [woocommerce_cart] shortcode instead.

  • GREAT WORK! Thank you so much!

  • Unfortunately, I rejoiced too soon.

The problem returns immediately when I use the shortcode and apply the Betheme template. Or is it because I have to switch off blocks somewhere explicitly for the page? If so, where can I find the setting?

  • Did you watched my tutorial regarding cart builder? If not, I recommend to do so https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9xtPequqvw because so far you've created template for cart when products are in the cart and not when it's empty.
