Issue After Updating to Version 28.0.3 and after that updte to 28.0.4

Hello BeTheme Support Team,

I am the administrator of the website [fictionifai.com], and I recently updated my site from version 27.x to version 28.0.3. After the update, I encountered several issues with BeTheme Live, where many features, such as changing the background color or adding images to the background of sections, are no longer working.

Additionally, I am seeing multiple errors in Developer Tools related to BeTheme Live. These issues have forced me to redesign pages, and I am still facing problems.

Please let me know if you have any solutions or troubleshooting steps to resolve these issues. I look forward to your assistance.

Best regards,

Salman Amini

Subject: Urgent: Multiple Functionality Issues and Data Loss After Recent BeTheme Update

    Dear BeTheme Support Team,

We are writing to report several critical issues we have encountered since the recent BeTheme update. These problems are severely impacting our workflow and have unfortunately led to significant data loss.

Firstly, whenever we update the "Betheme options -----> Custom CSS" section, we are receiving the following warning errors related to the "visual-builder-class.php" file:

     (image1)

Secondly, we are experiencing numerous functionality problems when using the "Edit with BeBuilder" feature to modify pages. Some examples include:

    ·        Shape Divider Color Missing: The color settings for Shape Dividers are not being applied or displayed correctly.

      (image2)

    ·        Section Background Issues: We are unable to set or see the selected Background Color, Image, or Gradient Color in the "Section Advanced -----> Background" settings.

    ·        Numerous Other Similar Issues: Beyond these specific examples, we are encountering many other inconsistencies and broken functionalities within the BeBuilder interface.

Most concerningly, after the update, none of our previously designed pages would open for editing. This catastrophic issue forced us to completely recreate all of our website pages from scratch and delete the original versions. This resulted in a significant loss of time and effort.

Furthermore, the functionality within the Bebuilder Live section is now severely limited, as many features are not working as expected. This is hindering our ability to efficiently design and update our website.

We initially chose BeTheme with the expectation that it would accelerate our web development process. However, this recent update has had the opposite effect, effectively stopping our work and causing significant setbacks.

We urgently require your assistance in resolving these critical issues. Please provide guidance on how to fix these errors and restore the lost functionality. We look forward to your prompt response and a solution that will allow us to continue working with BeTheme effectively.

Thank you for your time and attention to this urgent matter.

    Sincerely,

    https://Fictionifai.com

  • Your child theme is the root cause. After switching to parent, everything works properly.

It is better not to have these two catalogs in your child theme:

There are many changes in them between updates, and if a child theme overwrites them, your website may break as it just did.

If you really need to make changes in these catalogs, you should not update the parent theme, or compare your changes with the ones in the child theme before every update, and adjust them.

    Best regards
