Can't register site on sub-domain
Hi,
I'm trying to set up a new site. I have registered a license for let's say example.com and so far, if I would be working on a client site, I would have created a demo.example.com and the key would work.
Now, I have to show multiple options and would like to use flavour1.demo.example.com and flavour2.demo.example.com but it won't let me and directs me to de-register my key pointing to example.com which is a no-go. My domain is of course different, example.com is just an example :)
Is there a way to introduce sub-domain validation? That would be a huge plus. I know I could organize other ways, but since you're advertising having multiple hosts under the same domain with one key to facilitate development as an option, it would be nice to have it all the way.
Thank you,
Gabriel

Hi,
All of the themes on the Envato market are under the same license. Details: https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard
You can use one license per end product to use any pre-built website you desire or mix them, but you cannot use the theme license on two domains.
The only exceptions are for subdomains or subfolders. You can register unlimited subdomains with one license key, as long as the main domain is registered under the same key.
This also applies to subfolders on localhost installations.
It should also work for subdomains of subdomains as you describe.
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Sadly it doesn't work for sub-subdomains. That is exactly my issue.
License on domain.com. demo.domain.com works, but variation1.demo.domain.com doesn't.
Thanks,
Gabriel
Can you share the exact names of the subdomain and sub-subdomain?
If you do not want to share them publicly here, please send this information privately through the contact form, which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact.
