subheader image for post
I find it very useful and graphically beautiful to have the subheader image, which I set as fixed (that is, with an image that I chose). I find it even more useful that when editing the post with gutemberg, in the betheme options for post I can insert a subheader image of my choice (just for the single post) that replaces the default one. But by creating an adhoc template (not the standard one of the set theme) this discussion is no longer valid, because it always remains the default one. What to do, is there a solution?

And the style "intro header" for single post doesn't works too!
Hi,
Please always attach a link to your website so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost), then our help will be limited. You will have to contact us when the page is online. Also, please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us with the link.
It is always a good idea to also attach a screenshot showing your issue.
Thanks
this post have a custom template, beacuse I've add this custom graphics and tags: https://prnt.sc/hpyfi2FEoAW7
if you see the header (or subheader) and try to change via admin, it doesn't change!
instead, with default template, adding custom image into subheader, it change of front. And if I add custom image into header anche choose "intro header" style, it change on front. As I said, with custom template, all of this doesn't works!
Please send us the WordPress dashboard and FTP access privately through the contact form, which is on the right side at https://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact, and we will check what might be the reason.

Just done sent private email
Please check the Subheader assignment now.
About the intro header, I answered you in the topic here.
Best regards
you basically did nothing! that subheader is the one I set inside theme option-->header&subheader-->subheader
but you didn't read well what I wrote: have a different subheader for each post, selecting it from the post option. In the presence of a custom template this does not happen.
🙄
Don't ask me how, but it seems to work now. When I upload an image from wp media in the subheader, it displays in the single post.
Did you purge the cache after changing your subheader image?
It could be why you could not see it immediately after changing it in the post options. That is why we always recommend keeping all cache disabled on the website until you finish working on it, and if the work is done and you perform any changes, you should purge the cache after.
So, in fact, we "did something" to correct that. 😉

still doens't works!
I believe that many very good features of betheme stop working with custom templates!
As I mentioned already in this comment:
I explained to you how to recreate the Intro Header style in the single post template in the following topic:

Best regards
if I create new intro header, the only image I'll see the feature image and not the image I've setup into single post option. Please, if I wrong in any way please explain me better with example, video and so on to help me.
If you want to display in the single post template image you set as Header image, use this dynamic data:
{postmeta:mfn-post-header-bg}
.The rest of the parts, such as Title, author, or post category, are already available as elements:

this happens to me: since I have set an image for the subheader, doing as you tell me the image appears inside the body of the article. For example, now, in the post https://www.eugenioruberto.it/la-parola-del-7-maggio-2025/ the image of the flower field that I set as a subheader appears, and doing as you instructed, it appears right before the feature image of the post (which is the first image of the article, as per the single post template that I set). I hope I was clear.
I am sorry, but it is not quite clear to me. You can turn off the subheader, so the part with header image will appear directly at the top.
Do you have any graphic project or example showing what you are trying to achieve exactly?
Best regards
