Reducing unused Javascript

Morning Be-Team.

I am looking into enchancing my websites performance further and noticed that the slider revolution is loading two unused javascipt files that are unused along with the bethemes swiper that is also not being used in my page.

Any recommendations on how to do this with our Betheme tools? Or would we need to do it code wise?

The specific files are betheme/.../swiper.js?ver=28.0.6 - revslider/.../tptools.js?ver=6.7.31 and revslider/.../sr7.js?ver=6.7.31

We are using a query loop for some content and 2 slide revolution sliders, so far performance is quite good but we are quite exited to see where we can that it with Bebuilder.

  • Hi,

Betheme does not have a built-in feature to exclude loading particular files.

To do that, you would have to use an external plugin such as WP Rocket.

If you mean that you want to recreate the hero slider with BeBuilder, it would be best if you attach an example showing it, so I could confirm if it can be easily done with BeBuilder.

  • Thanks for the feedback Phil.

I do not want to recreate the slider with BeBuilder. I have a be query look wrap that does not use the swiper and yet the file is being called.

The revolution slider files are from the default after installing it with the theme.

I had hope that there would be some options on tools that would minimize these calls has they seam to be there by default.

If not please let me know.

  • Please attach a link to your website so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost), then our help will be limited. You will have to contact us when the page is online. Also, please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us with the link.

It is always a good idea to also attach a screenshot pointing what you refer to.

    Thanks

  • Thanks for the follow-up

Sorry for the ignorance but how can I send / attach a link that is only visible to the moderating team?

Since the site is under construction I would appreciate it to not be public just yet.

  • Please send this information privately thru the contact form, which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact and we will check that out.

Please attach a link to this forum discussion.

    Thanks

  • I can confirm that only a solution from my first message will work.

You would have to use an external tool (e.g., WP Rocket) to exclude these.

There is no alternative option for that.

    Best regards

  • Thanks for the follow-up Phil.

    Will do so.
