Hello,
I have just purchased this theme and so far, its great.
The only thing is that I can't figure out how to add a secondary top menu in addition to the social media links.

Hi,

secondary menu can be set instead of social icon links only and this can be done under Appearance > Menus > Manage locations section.

But how can we have "both"  the social icons "and" a links to our pages?

This is impossible unfortunately. You can have only one of them.
