Question about domain and license activation for BeTheme

Hi BeTheme Support,

We’ve installed and activated BeTheme with a license on our development environment hosted on Pantheon.io using a temporary URLs (e.g., dev-sitename.pantheonsite.io). We have also test and live Pantheon environments (e.g., test-sitename.pantheonsite.io and live-sitename.pantheonsite.io) but have only activated the license on dev- so far. Our live domain (e.g., sitename.com) will only be added next couple of weeks due to hosting provider restrictions.

We activated the license but when checking the license online with username and purchase code , we receive an error.

Could you please confirm:

• Will the license activated on the dev URL cause any issues when we switch to the live domain?
• Will we need to manually update or transfer the license to the live domain once it’s available?
• Does BeTheme support development/staging domains without additional license costs?
• Is the error we're seeing when checking the license online expected in this case, or should we take further action?

Hi,

If your staging domain follows an appropriate pattern, then it does not count as a registered license. That is why you might have the error from your second screenshot. See the following article:
