Footer Effect Causing CLS Issue

Hi,

I tested the site speed and the main blocker for a good score is the Cumulative Layout Shift, currently at 0.592. I reached out to WP Rocket support and they explained the issue comes from the footer effect. I really like the effect, but their response was:

“This is because of this effect: https://jmp.sh/8e6YK6xH

Your footer and the SVG favicon are behind the content of the page, while they should be below it.

So it has to be loaded before the page content, even though it will only become visible when scrolling.

Please contact Betheme support to check with them how to fix this.”

Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no workaround for that. This is the specificity of this footer style, so if you want to get rid of CLS, you would have to choose a different style.
