Theme Update
Hello ,
Im trying to update the BeTheme of a friend of mine , originally the website was created by someone else and they didn't share the license with my friend , now i buyed another license for him.
On the wordpress site he still has the old license and is marked as "Theme is registered" but when i try to update from the Dashboard , i get error:
An error occurred while updating Betheme: The package could not be installed. The package contains no files.
As i read on the forums this might be a problem with license identification and i must re activate the license or manually updating the theme by re-uploading it to wordpress.
i didn't upload it yet , first i tried the check license button , i insert my Purchase code and envato username but i get error: The purchase code has not been used to register Betheme or the username does not match the purchase code.
What i need is a procedure on how to update the theme to the latest version and set the new license that i bought , without breaking anything or having too much of a downtime.
I do not want to recover the old license , i want to use the new one that i bought
The current installed version is: 21.7.8.1
In System Status everything is in green
the domain name is: everart.ro

Hi,
Go to Betheme -> Dashboard, deregister the previous license there, and register your new license in the same place.
If the deregister button does not work, it could mean that the person who made that website used an illegal version of Betheme. In that case, you should download a fresh Bethem package from ThemeForest, replace the currently installed package with the downloaded one, and register the license then.
