Theme will not upload to WP! Says it is too large!

Hi,

I purchased BeTheme for my Wordpress website. I am trying to upload the theme using the regular theme uploader on Wordpress itself, I do not know much about FTP so I didn't use this method. 

I have been trying to upload my recently purchased "be theme premium" theme, and it keeps saying "This file is too big. Files must be less than 1500 KB in size. Back"/...

    Hi,

    this theme is very extended tool and can't be the same size as themes with poor amount of features and options. If you are not able to install theme via WP, you should do it via FTP. Also you can contact with server admin and ask if he can increase the limits for uploading files.

    Hi, 

    I have the same problem. I tried it via ftp and changed the max upload_file_size but i still can't upload it. It always appears the error message "are you sure you want to do this"

    Hi @aspkom,

    this message says that you can not install theme thru the WP default importer because of the limits on server side. It’s probably because of upload_max_filesize. There is few ways to install your theme then:

    - You need to contact with your admin and ask him to increase those limits for you so you can install theme via default importer
    - You can install betheme-no-plugins.zip file instead which is much lighter because does not contain plugins
    - You can unzip default betheme.zip file and upload betheme folder with all theme files via FTP into /wp-content/ folder.
