Query Loop - Blog Archive - Pagination: Shortened List?

Hello,

From the original/default theme options, it was possible to have pagination with a "shortened list".

Is that feature something you can add in as one of the dropdown options within a Section's query loop pagination options?

Better yet - can you have it respect the theme configuration?
