only homepage breaks after update, reverted to previous version
After updating to the latest BeTheme version, my homepage stopped working and the BeBuilder editor does not fully load for this page. All my other pages (contact, about, services, blog) work perfectly on the new version. Only the homepage is affected.
I have temporarily reverted to the previous BeTheme version, which makes the homepage work again. So the homepage builder content itself is fine on the old version, but something in it is not compatible with the new version.
What I observe: In the BeBuilder editor the homepage loads correctly up to and including my FAQ section (accordion element), and then stops there. The page uses several Global Sections.
My question:
Could you please look at what is currently built into my homepage and tell me which element or section is not compatible with the new version? I would like to know exactly what is causing it, so I can fix or rebuild that specific part and then safely update to the latest version again. I prefer not to stay on the old version for security reasons.
Environment:
- WordPress: 6.9.4
- BeTheme: reverted to 28.4.1.1 — issue appeared on 28.4.4
- PHP version: 8.4.12
- Child theme active: betheme-child
- Homepage uses Global Sections
Thank you for your help.
Comments
Hi,
Please create a copy of your website on a staging domain with the duplicator.

https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
Then update Betheme to the newest version, turn off all of the plugins, refresh your cache, and check if the problem persists.
Moreover, switch from the child theme to the parent, and recheck it.
Thanks
