How do I change the colour of the blockquote on the IT Service theme?

Hi, 

I'd like to change the colour of the blockquotes on the IT Service theme from green to another colour. I tried this in CSS and it didn't work, here's what I put:

blockquote {

color: #27aae0;

}

Can someone tell me how to achieve this please?

Sorry I meant the colour in the background. There's a big green bar across the quote that breaks up that part of the page (let me know if my newbie description sucks and I'll take a screen grab to show you!).

To clarify it's the section of the page that's a big green block across, with a quote in it "IT service company A is great for the following reasons" kind of thing.

Thanks for the reply but I still can't work this out.

I looked for the section and I changed the background colour, unfortunately this doesn't change what I want. But I'm closer to understanding it now.

So the section I want to change is this one:

So it looks like a column. When I edit the column in muffin editor I see "background colour" but when I change it I get this look:

What I'd like is for the green to be that blue colour all the way across.

It's not a column. It's SECTION. Section is something inside what are items like column.

Yup, the section that boundaries all the other entities right? If I change the background colour on that it only changes only one part of the web page.

So here are my steps:

1) Click here on the page: http://imgur.com/JMpbS7p. Change the background colour in there then save.

2) Then this section under the main slider changes: http://imgur.com/gvstNNB

3) But the other sections (the ones I want changed) don't change colour: http://imgur.com/JMpbS7p,gvstNNB,YO1faj2#2

Any ideas? They appear as "columns" in the muffin builder.
