lists not centering icons with text

Hi

when I create a list using either your builder or visual composer for some reason the icons are not centered with the text, instead when having them on the left of text the icons site left but almost below the text instead of being in the centre?

Spoken with visual composer and they have advised its the theme thats causing the problem, can you help please?
