WP Bakery VC 4.7.1.1 Causes 500 server error

Hello. I updated the theme and then tried to update the VC manually as instructed. However as soon as the VC plugin is activated, the whole site goes down with a 500 server error. Once I manually deleted the VC files the site is restored. I contacted the VC developer and here is what they said:

"Hi, we haven’t received such issues on standalone version – as bundled within a theme you need to contact your theme author so he can look into this problem in more details. "

Please advise.

    they forwarded you to us but we must forward you to the server admin because "500 Internal Server Error" is not related with theme. You can switch to default theme and you will see the same error. It means that something is wrong on server side and that's why you must contact with server admin.
