How do we create a slider where the menu is displayed in front of the slider similarly to the BeTheme demo?

Hi,

it's Transparent header style which is in the front of the slider by default.

The menu and slider is still separated even with the Transparent header style

This can not be true. Please send us url to site where you set Transparent header style and it is not transparent.

And the background is in gray. Is it a default color?

As we see, everything works fine. But header is grey because it's what you set under Theme options > Colors section for header background. When you will set slider for page, this header background will disappear.
