Tags are being stripped out (space between paragraphs)

My <p> and <br> tags are getting stripped out and it is automatically adding <section> tags to my posts/pages so all my paragraphs run together without a space in between them. How do I get this space back?

is this happen under default WP Editor? If yes, then please switch to default WP theme and check if the same thing happen with default theme.
