Post images - not full - white space

like you can see here: http://www.especie.info/habitats-grandes-felinos/

In all my post the featured images is not wide enough..there is always a white space on the right...

How can i fix it ? I want it shown the image full in the box..

you can fix it by uploading wider images.

How much wider must be the image , to display it correctly ?

On our demos, we use 1200x480px size.
