WPML Translation Editor not showed, only the title of a page can be translatet

Hi

Today I bougt Betheme and WPML and installed it from scratch.

Now I stuck with the known problem (described on the WPML forum (Link: [Links visible only for registered users])

I tryed the suggested solution several times without success.

(memory_limit 256 MB, newest version of Betheme and WPML)

Has anyone a hint how to solve this issue?

Hello Martin,
please go to the WPML "translation management" and use the manual translation option for the content.

Hello,

my site is huskarltranslations.com (currently still in maintenance mode)

I am having the same issue, I believe my memory_limit is at 128MB and I have the newest versions of Betheme and WPML.

I have created all my content with the muffin builder, I have the manual translation option selected. But when I push the plus icon, it only displays the page title to translate, none of the content.

yes, I have followed the tutorial on WPML forum and I have the manual translation option under WPML > translation management selected.

also I have tried deactivating all other plugins besides the WPML ones, still shows only title to translate and none of the text.

I am happy to private message with my wp log in details if that would help

Have you tried it? Ofcourse the page will not translate by itself, you will have to insert the content manually.

We clicked the "+" icon and it created a new page where you will be able to enter the german version,

everything is working fine.

When I click the "+" icon next to the home page (it is no longer a plus since I clicked on it the very first time, now a loading circle icon) it still leads me to a page where only the title is translatable.

However I tried a few other pages and they do lead me to a new page now. Here is an image of the page "editing & proofreading"

so every time i do a translation I have to recreate the entire page layout with the muffin builder?

Ok I see that's how I can recreate the layout for the page and then just add in the text translation, thanks so much.

However, I am still having a problem with the Home Page. If I click on the loading circle icon it leads me to a page where only the title is translatable. If I view the English (default) home page, I also cannot select the duplicate button, its there but isn't clickable.

sometimes it displays these errors, but not always:

Those error may be happening because some of your plugins are interfering or simply because the theme or plugin files are corrupted. We suggest removing the theme completly and reinstalling it, you can also do that with plugins.

Ive looked on the forums but cannot seem to find any directions on how to remove and then reinstall the theme.

I am very new to creating websites, could you please give me some step by step instructions on how to do this? I am scared I might screw something up or lose work if I attempt it without any instructions. Thanks so much for your time and help.

First please make a backup of the theme and then go to your FTP and remove the theme folder completly, you will find it in domain.com/wp-content/themes/betheme
Then go to themeforest to download and install the newest version of the theme.

This could be also plugins, so please first disable all plugins.
Also wordpres files could be corrupted so there could be a change of reinstalling the wordpress as well.

hello again,

I have tried deactivating all plugins as well as removing the theme folder via FTP and installing a new version downloaded from themeforest, the one thing I haven't done is reinstalling Wordpress because

it seems when I have these three plugins all active

it gives me the issue I've been experiencing with the home page displaying a loading circle icon:

However when I deactivate the WPML Translation Management Plugin, (with only the other two still active) I no longer get the loading circle icon, instead I see the plus icon. However when I check the duplicate box and visit said page in the German language none of the muffin options I have set in the default English language are there.

Sorry but the error comes from the wp-includes folder which is not so much theme related and you will have to reinstall wordpress as well. We checked but there is nothing wrong with the theme itself.
