Custom fonts loaded but not displayed.

I have two issues with custom fonts on my Wordpress site with BeTheme, which I am configuring to achieve the look of my choice.
1- I have tried uploading a .ttf font on the custom font page, I was directed to Wordpress's media upload page, uploaded the .ttf, was told it is not secure so it was not accepted. I converted the font to .svg and it was accepted. Is this normal? (see image below)
2- Then I configured BeTheme to use the font(s) in all places, see image below...
...but the fonts do not display, they appear disabled...
...unless I manually enable the font-family CSS directive...
...which is obviously not the way it should behave.
What am I doing wrong?

you only loaded one font type which is .svg. You have to import all of the formats, some browsers do not use the svg font format.

After you upload the font, please disable the plugin and remove it.
