parallax section acts weird on 1 page

Hi,
I have this small parallax section on this page [Links visible only for registered users]
between Nexus Services and Assesment
That parallax section includes John Maxwell quote.

I can't find the reason it cut on half. Its exact copy of parallax above but for some reason, it doesn't act same.
Please help me.

Sincerely,
Tania

  • Hi,
this is because your are using a very old version of the theme. Please update.
    thanks
  • in my dashboard it said:

    Themes

Your themes are all up to date.

How can I re-install it. I tried to re-install betheme but this is what I got.

Destination folder already exists. /home4/eurogra3/public_html/Nexus/wp-content/themes/betheme/ Theme installation failed.

Are you sure this is problem?

  • eurographics
Please go to your FTP and remove the theme folder, then install it thru your wordpress dashboard.
    thanks
  • I just updated theme via ftp but problem is not solved. I can create you temporary login if that will help.
    Please let me know

  • No, do not update the theme via FTP, just remove the theme folder and install the theme thru the wordpress panel. Make sure to disable all plugins when you do this.
    thanks
  • I'm using child of betheme.
I did exactly like you said, removed betheme folder (not a child theme) on server and installed thru wordpress panel. Only I didn't disable plugins. Will do it again. Hopefully that will help

  • If your using such an old theme version, the best way would be to remove the theme folder completly and install it again or via FTP (paste the theme).
After that you will be able to update the theme via the wordpress admin panel.
    thanks
  • I did exactly like you said, Uploaded new theme via FTP, than updated via dashboard. See sctreenshot here. I checked, all plugins and wordpress are up to date.

I try to experiment with different image on parallax (made it exactly 1920px x 1080px) It covers a bit more than before but still has same problem.
see this link (I created copy of the page for experiments) [Links visible only for registered users]

When I removed parallax image totally and used just color for background, its works, see here

I can go with this option for now but ideally I would like to use image for parallax.
Any idea what else can cause this problem?
    Thank you

  • Images used for the parallax effect should be  taller than wider, so ideally the image should not be 1920x1080 but 1080x1920.
On big screens the 1080px tall image should not be enought and it could reveal a blank space.

If we are talking about the blue globe image, then it is displaying fine here. Did you test is on other browsers?
    thanks
  • Thank you. I was following suggested size as 1920 w x 1080h but didn't know its opposite.
