Updating old betheme to newer version + Licensing issue.

Hi all
I built a website two years ago using BEtheme - I went on running it just a year and then suspended it since I didn't have the time.
Meanwhile the BEtheme license wore off.

Now I want to re-activate it and have two questions :
1:How do I upgrade to the new version if I don`t have a license.
2: How to avoid having the upgrade changing my website`s design? (I have already copied all css files and theme options aside).
Thanks!

  • Hi,
    1) If you don't have license, then you cannot update your theme.
License is lifetime, so you don't have to re-activate it.

    2) If your website is below version 20:
Here is an instruction on how to update the theme:
    http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/documentation/#general
Theme updates will not delete your content unless you have changed the
files directly in which case we suggest using a child theme.
We also recommend creating a backup file.
Please remove the theme completely from your theme folder and install a
fresh copy. Do not overwrite files.
    thanks

    Above version 20:
From version 20 you can update the theme from the dashboard of your
WordPress, in the BeTheme tab. Just register the license, and you will
be able to update the theme, install newest plugins and import pre-built
websites with sliders. We are not including rev-sliders and plugin
    updates in the theme package.

    thanks
