Re: Footer showing when page reloads

I was trying to figure out what this blue bar is at the bottom of the hero seciton - when I paused reload in the chrome debugger I saw the image below. It shows the menu and the logo from the footer on screen. This shows for 1-3 seconds before the rest of the site loads.

Why is this? Can it be corrected?

Please advise.

  • Hi,
As you said, this is a footer and it's normal behavior.
To avoid that, you would have to use some kind of pre-loader or change the style of the footer.
Theme Options.> Footer, right now, your style is "Fixed", change it to something else and It will be fixed.
    Thanks

"Normal behavior"??? Are you kidding me?? Show me another website ANYWHERE that loads with the footer showing like that.

This website that I just developed with BeTheme the other month has a sliding under footer and the hero loads without showing the footer. It has a spinner in the slider rev, but I tried that with Onscale.com and the footer still shows.

Example with working sliding under footer: https://tech-30.com/

Why does it work on and it doesn't work on the other??
  • Your Slider Revolution slide does load very long, that's why the footer was overflowing.
It's normal behavior, because the footer is always behind the content to achieve that "revealing" effect when you scroll down.

Also, the problem can be related with the background color of the header.
This example with working slider under footer does have black background(http://prntscr.com/my6e8g), and that issued page does not have any background(http://prntscr.com/my6emp).
    Thanks
