Can't edit or save after Wordpress update

I have several sites running BeTheme but my oldest site is now unable to edit / save in Muffin Builder since the latest Wordpress 5.1.1 release.

(HTTP500 White screen of death error - until Layerslider removed)

I have removed ALL plugins but still cannot edit / save.

Running BeTheme version 1.2 (without child theme)

Wordpress 5.1.1

PHP 7.1

WP mem limit 256MB

Will a theme update help?

Hi,

Yes, the update of the theme should resolve that problem.

Here is an instruction on how to update the theme:
http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/documentation/#general
Theme updates will not delete your content unless you have changed the
files directly in which case we suggest using a child theme.
We also recommend creating a backup file.
Please remove the theme completely from your theme folder and install a
fresh copy. Do not overwrite files.
