Links in Action Bar

I have 2 links in the Action Bar - Slogan
It appears that the links are stripped and it's inserted into an unordered list now

<div id="Action_bar">
 <div class="container">
  <div class="column one">
   <ul class="contact_details">
     <li class="slogan"><a><b>CSE:OWLI</b></a><a><b>OTC:QB (OWRDF)</b></a></li></ul>

Disabled now so there is nothing to see
what html can I put in the slogan field?

  • Hey,
    the slogan fiels accepts very little HTML now. It is due to envato policy.
    You can insert <a>, <b>, <br>, <em>, <i>, <li>, <span>, <strong>, <u>, <ul>
    If you insert <a> you need to specify href="", otherwise the link will not work.
    If you still have problems, send us a link to your website.
    thanks
  • This used to work

    <a href="[Links visible only for registered users] "target="_blank"><p style="color:#1e73be";><b>CSE:OWLI</b></p></a><a href="[Links visible only for registered users] "target="_blank"><p style="color:#1e73be";><b>OTC:QB (OWRDF)</b></p></a>

    it's turned off right now until I can get it fixed
  • Eventually found a combination of html and css thats getting things mostly back to where they are.

    Is the removal of the target on links intentional?

    working

    <a
    href="[Links visible only for registered users]"><p
    style="color:#1e73be";><b>CSE:OWLI</b></p></a><br><a
    href="[Links visible only for registered users]"><p
    style="color:#1e73be";><b>OTC:QB
    (OWRDF)</b></p></a>

    #Action_bar
    {

    line-height:
    initial !important;

    }

    .icon-facebook
    {

    font-size:
    x-large; }

    .icon-twitter{

    font-size:
    x-large; }

    .icon-linkedin
    {

    font-size:
    x-large; }

    #Action_bar
    .social {

    float: right;

    padding: 17px 0!important;

    }

  • Yes, we had to re-do this, and place some restrictions because Envato policy changed. Other HTML markup is not possible.
    Is there anything I could help you with?
    thanks
  • so Target is not allowed anymore?
     how about you actually document exactly whats allowed
  • Actually, target="_blank" works in the slogan field fine, I just checked it.
    What does not work is inline style, so you will have to use CSS classes or target the element directly thru existing classes in the theme.
    We do not have to document this, because the field should only accept plain text.
    cheers
  • But it doesn't accept just plain text, it doesn't accept normal html either so if you would document it you wouldn't have to waste so much of my time. Especially when you change it from version to version and break things.
  • It will be surely included in the new documentation of BeTheme (which is nearly done).
    So, is there anything else we can help you with?
    Thanks
