Plug-In Recommendation - Database Filter

Could you provide a recommendation for a BETheme compatible plugin to create a page sidebar/widget that will all me to create checkboxes to filter by Category, like a database search?

Ideally, the plugin would allow me to keep the same Masonry style format being used when selecting among filter options.

As you can see I'm attempting to manually create menus, but I'd like to add more layers.
