How can I remove trailing '/' after URLs in menu

I note that Betheme places a trailing / after the url in menu items. As I have NOT used this same approach through hard-coded links, I end up with the two versions in page view stats.

I'm sure there is a redirect script I could use, but is there a way to stop Betheme doing it in the first place?

Hello,

we do not controll that. The menu is created and loaded by Wordpress. Have you checked in a standard wordpress theme like twentyninteen?
