CSS Box options (padding, margins etc.) not working

Hi there,

I've created a website with Betheme, and happy with it. To change some of the spaces between texts and images I'm using custom padding & margins in the Design Options CSS Box.

Normally this works. However recently I changed a page. It's a page with two language versions. The values that I put in the CSS Box are still there in both of them, however the Dutch version doesn't show this.

You can see the difference here:

French and Dutch versions have the same padding-values in the Design Options - CSS Box. But the Dutch version doesn't show these values.

Could you please help me or give me suggestions how to change this?

Hi Sorry for the late reply. It's CSS boxes when I try to change some spacings in the design.

Can you change the margin value on the broken page to 45px for example?

After that, please, check if this change appear on the page.

Hi,

I tried to implement the changes you suggest, change the margin from 35 to 45 px. I'm doing this on the homepage, where I've got the same problems as on the other two pages. But now suddenly the image on the background is not showing. Tried to put it back to 35px, but the image is still missing.

You can see it on these pages:

Enclosed you'll see screenshots with the difference between the French and Dutch pages. On the French page the margins which I filled in in the CSS box (mentioned before) are translated. But in the Dutch version not. Even though they are exactly the same as on the French page.

Furthermore, on the Dutch page, now the image on the background of the 'Het Netwerk' block is not visible either, after I tried to change parameters here.

Could this have something to do with translations?

1) Can you tell me what plugin do you use to translate your website?

We support only WPML because we tested it with our theme and it works without any issues.

2) Also, I noticed that you have very old version of Betheme.

Please, update it and check if the issue still appears.

Here is an instruction on how to update the theme:

Theme updates will not delete your content unless you have changed the files directly in which case we suggest using a child theme.

We also recommend creating a backup file.

Please remove the theme completely from your theme folder and install a fresh copy. Do not overwrite files.

1.) This website uses WPML as well as a child theme.

2.) OK, I'll follow your advice and will try to update the Be-theme Theme.

I hope it works, I'll do this in the next days and I'll keep you up to date.

Can you switch your child theme to the parent theme, and check if this issue still persists, please?
