We will take a look at this issue, and try to fix it as soon as possible.
For now, please, put the following code in Betheme -> Theme options -> Custom CSS & JS -> CSS.

It seems that besided the style, select2 have a strange behavior when trying to open the select list. It is selecting automatically a item.
Did you activate some additional plugins or change anything else meanwhile?
CSS code should not affect the form in such a way. You can check if the problem persists if you temporarily remove this CSS.
If this will not help, then this could mean that the problem lies somewhere else.
Please, turn off all of the plugins, refresh your cache, and check if the problem persists.
Moreover, if you are using a child theme, switch to parent, and recheck it.

The problem existed before adding the CSS. My initial complaint was for the styling of the select field, but I missed also to specify that the behaviour of the field is also weird. Did you tried to reproduce this on your side?
In my environment, everything is working correctly.
Did you try turning your plugins off and switching to the parent theme?
