Multiple Environments with WP Engine

I've got a site with multiple environments on WP engine (live, staging, dev). Initially my site was just on one environment (let's call it X) at a specific domain but it got moved to a different domain and I've got copies on 3 different environments.

When I push to live, I make changes on dev then push it to staging then push it live. How does this structure work with your licensing rules? Do each of the different environments need their own license? If so, I don't think I'll be able to push live from dev since it would overwrite the other environments.

If I deregister the license from your license tool, will it break my live site?

  • Hi,

All of the themes on the Envato market are under the same license. Details: https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard

You can use one license per end product to use any pre-built website you desire or mix them, but you cannot use the theme license on two domains.

The only exceptions are for subdomains or subfolders. You can register unlimited subdomains with one license key if the main domain is registered under the same key.

This also applies to subfolders on localhost installations.

And no, deregistering the website with our license tool will not break your website.

    Thanks
